Study news & announcements New PHOSP-COVID 5-year follow-up study announced 01/10/2025

The PHOSP-COVID research team is now conducting a 5-year follow-up study as part of ongoing efforts to better understand the long-term effects of COVID-19 on health and wellbeing.

As part of this follow-up, participants who previously took part in the Post-hospitalisation COVID-19 (PHOSP-COVID) study — and gave permission to be contacted again — will be invited to take part.

Purpose of the Follow-Up

This new phase of the study aims to build on earlier findings by assessing how individuals hospitalised with COVID-19 have recovered over time. The information collected will help improve future care, treatment, and support for those affected by the virus.

What to Expect

Those invited to take part will receive an email or letter containing a unique link to an online survey.

  • The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
  • Responses are saved automatically, so it’s possible to pause and return later using the same link and access code.
  • After completing the survey, participants will be invited to take part in a short set of cognitive tasks, which can be done straight away or at another convenient time.

For the best experience, especially during the cognitive tasks, it is recommended to use a computer or tablet.
